GET TO KNOW ME

Hi! I’m Jonah Essers. I’m a pediatric gastroenterologist in Seattle. Most of my patients call me a tummy doctor.

I created the Tummy Handbook to help families access knowledge. It is meant to help you find specific solutions to your child’s tummy problem. There isn’t a lot of free, unbiased, and evidence-based information out there from someone who sees a lot of this stuff.

As a specialist, one of my jobs is to provide a lot of thorough yet practical information to families. When I provide this information in my office, I charge for it. On the TummyHandbook, all the information is free.

I consult with over a thousand families per year in my office, and the same theme comes up over and over again:

Childhood tummy problems are personal. Twenty minute doctor office visits are not. While seeing your primary doctor is THE BEST place to start, the advice can feel generic. I hear this all the time from patients. Do you need a more in-depth game plan? A plan that matches the specific needs of your child? Think of the TummyHandbook as your “idea book” to finding that personalized approach.
